Cabinets of Curiosity

Cabinets of Curiosity

A collaborative project

As part of the House on Crutches Museum's changing display programme, the museum played host to ‘Private Passions’ an exhibition of personal and at times unusual collections found in the local community.

In support of this exhibition, BCHRC visited local primary schools at Bishop's Castle and Lydbury North to find out what local children were passionate about. The children were set the challenge of creating their own mini 3D museum displays or ‘Cabinets of Curiosity’ based on their own passion or collection. These were displayed in the House on Crutches Museum alongside its ‘Private Passions ’ exhibition.
